Hello! I’m Taylor, a 24-year-old mother, housewife, dreamer, writer (for pleasure, though I do have the ambition of getting my fantasy work published one day), book-devourer, geek, gamer. I’m a grade-A procrastinator; no matter what I’m doing, I’d always rather be reading or spending time with my little 8-month-old man, Oliver — who himself is already a book-lover! As a mother and future homeschooler, it’s my mission in life to learn as much as I can and pass on everything I know to Oliver, so I have a voracious appetite for books of nearly every kind: history, anthropology, fantasy, literature, classics, travel memoirs, religion, science fiction, education, children’s, middle grade, young adult, historical fiction, contemporary fiction… The only three genres I don’t really read are mystery (except classics like the work of Wilkie Collins and Arthur Conan Doyle), thriller/horror, and romance, but there are occasional exceptions.
I love discussing, reviewing, and reading about books almost as much as I love reading them (almost), and Literary Leisure is my place to do just that. My objective is to post at least one book review each week, feature characters, quotes, and other bookish topics throughout the week, and sprinkle in gaming, geeky, and personal news, as well.
Goals for 2017:
- Read 35+ books
- Read 5+ classics
- NaNoWriMo or NaBloPoMo
